Many animal organizations and shelters in Romania need help, but they're hard to find all in one place — some only have a Facebook page, others no website of their own. KaliMap gathers them here, NGOs and shelters, so you can find the ones near you more easily.
Helping doesn't have to mean money — it can be food, blankets, medicine, a few hours of volunteering, or even just a share to the right person. Tap "Help" on an organization's card and you'll go straight to them; whatever you give goes directly to the animals, it doesn't pass through KaliMap.
Most of us have thought, at least once, that we'd like to do something for animals without a home — but we stop at "I don't know who, I don't know how." Here you'll find the organizations and shelters that really need help, gathered in one place.

Each organization on the list shows what kind of help it needs — tap the "Help" button on its card and you'll go straight to them, on Facebook, their website, or WhatsApp, whichever they have. It could be money, dry or canned food, blankets, medicine, a few hours of volunteering, or even just a share to the right person. The help goes straight to the organization — nothing passes through KaliMap.
How do I find a dog shelter or animal NGO near me?
Choose the "Shelters" or "NGOs" tab on the page — each card shows the organization's city or county, so you can quickly see which ones are near you. The list can't be filtered by county yet, but it's sorted alphabetically and easy to scan.
How do I donate to a dog shelter?
Tap the "Help" button on the organization's card — it takes you straight to their Facebook page, website, or WhatsApp, where you'll find their way of receiving donations. KaliMap doesn't process payments and doesn't hold any money — your donation goes straight to the organization, through whichever channel they've chosen.
Can I volunteer at an animal shelter?
Yes — many organizations on the list need volunteers. KaliMap doesn't have its own sign-up form; tap "Help" on the organization's card and message them directly to find out what they need and how you can get involved.
How do I adopt a dog or cat through a shelter on KaliMap?
KaliMap doesn't have individual adoptable-animal profiles — each shelter handles that on its own. Choose the "Shelters" tab, find one near you, and message them through "Help" to find out what animals they have available and how the adoption works.
An NGO or shelter is missing from the list — how do I add it?
The fastest way is through the "Suggest a place" page — pick the NGO or Shelters category and fill in the organization's details. Or you can write to us anytime at [email protected] with its name and a link, and we'll check it and add it.
